Create a repository in Github

  1. Login into your Github account.

  2. Click the ‘+’ sign in the top right corner of the page. A drop down menu will appear. Click on ‘New Repository’.

  3. A page will open named ‘Create a new repository’.

  4. Give the repository name as per your convenience.

  5. Provide description (It’s Optional)

  6. Choose public or private as per your choice.

  7. Initialize the repository with Add a README file. You can click on the checkbox beside it. You can also initialize it by adding .gitignore or choose a license as per your convenience.

  8. Click on Create Repository.

  9. Your repository will be created.

  10.  You can view all your repositories by clicking ‘Your repositories’ in the drop down menu present in the top right corner.
